Part 2 of my Sundance review…I was supposed to write more earlier but got sick, and you know how that goes.

I was fortunate enough to run into Oren and Justine Jacob in the lobby of our hotel at Sundance. Turns out they were in town to show of “Ready, Set, Bag!” which Justine directed and produced, and Oren executive produced. It’s a documentary based on the national competition for Best Bagger. As in, people bagging groceries for speed and accuracy. This film particularly struck a chord with me since I earned my stripes in similarly obscure competition; which was scratching records for speed and accuracy. I’m not sure what the film is rated (I’m guessing PG at the most), but I guarantee fun for the entire family, especially if any of you have worked in a supermarket (which I have). Colin Lewis - Booking agent, scholar, and…judge on Much Music’s “Disband“! The show follows an up and coming band for 7 days and at the end of the week their fate as a group is determined by music industry gurus. Colin’s the man.

I needed to grab some blank DVDs and found myself walking into a mall in Charlotte. What did I see when I walked through the doors, that green and red colorway. Damn. Already? That time of the year is around the corner already? No way. Time to make the list.

Well if I decide to cheap out and make my own gifts (which is totally not a bad thing, I actually encourage it), I thought this was good idea…make some mixtapes as gifts.
